Clinic App, Website and CMS for a TMJ and Facial Pain Clinic
Projects
A complete software platform for Twin Cities TMJ & Facial Pain Clinic: an on-premises Clinic App for the front desk and providers, and a public website the clinic edits itself. In active development.
Overview
Twin Cities TMJ & Facial Pain Clinic treats jaw joint (TMJ) disorders and facial pain. CoreMicros is building the clinic's software platform in two parts: a Clinic App that runs on the clinic's own premises for the front desk and providers, and a public website with its own content management system (CMS) that the clinic's staff edit themselves.
The project is in active development: the Clinic App is in daily use at the front desk, and new parts are released as they are ready.
The challenge
- Busy, non-technical users. Front-desk staff often work in the software while on the phone with a patient, and providers use it between appointments. Every screen has to be obvious at a glance.
- Patient data stays protected. Records belong in the clinic, not on a public web server.
- The clinic owns its story. Staff need to update their own website without calling a developer.
What we built
Clinic App (on-premises)
- Scheduling designed for the phone call: the appointment is booked while the patient is still on the line, with checks that catch a patient who is already on file.
- Patient intake and visit records for providers, organised so each part of a visit is one step in a side menu rather than one long form.
- Runs on the clinic's own server, so patient records never leave the clinic.
Public website and CMS
- A professional public site for patients and referring providers.
- A CMS so staff edit pages and content themselves.
- The website and the Clinic App exchange only what they need, through defined message formats, so the public site has no direct access to patient records.
How we work
- "Simple, intuitive and transparent" is the design rule for every screen: proven patterns, plain language, nothing hidden.
- Built with the people who use it. New features are demonstrated to the clinic's staff and providers, and their feedback shapes the next release.
- Every change is tested before it reaches the clinic, on separate test and staging environments, and every change is reviewed and tracked.
Status
In active development, with releases as features are ready. Next up: AI-assisted visit notes, drafted from the visit for the provider to review and sign.
